Nokia Meets Final NTIA Guidelines, Full Suite of Buy America-Compliant Products Available
Nokia’s fiber optic broadband network electronics and optical modules now meet the final Buy America guidelines, making them eligible for BEAD participants. These products offer end-to-end solutions for fiber network builds, and orders can be placed now with deliveries starting from June 2024. Nokia’s Buy America compliance allows it to supply products and services for critical broadband infrastructure projects, aiding in closing the digital divide. The newly introduced line of Optical Line Terminals (OLT) and Fiber Access solutions, manufactured in the United States, includes various fiber broadband products such as OLT cards, compact OLTs, OLT optical modules, and rugged ONTs. These products boast performance, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility, catering to potential BEAD program participants. Nokia aims to deliver these products by mid-2024, with production capacity scaling up to meet demand, ensuring timely deployment for subrecipients expected to receive BEAD grants in 2024. These BEAD-certified solutions will provide states with the technology required to build end-to-end fiber networks and expand broadband access to more communities.
