Ready, Set, Grant: BEAD’s New Rules & Winncom’s Reimbursable Grant Writing Program
On June 6, 2025, the NTIA overhauled the BEAD program.
➡️ The fiber-first mandate? Gone.
➡️ Rigid scoring and regulatory hurdles? Gone.
In their place: a tech-neutral framework focused on performance and lowest cost per location. Fiber, FWA (5GHz, 6GHz, 60GHz), and even satellites are now on equal footing. All states must re-launch their BEAD application process—with final submissions due by September 6. Mapping rules have also changed, allowing providers to defend existing coverage areas. The playing field is open—and the clock is ticking.
Winncom is here to help you win.
Our Grant Writing Assistance Program is tailored to the new BEAD rules. You’ll receive a dedicated advisor and full support from prequalification to submission. Best of all, 75% of your grant writing costs are reimbursable — credited toward any product purchase from our portfolio.
